Shaping the Future of Student Life at the University of Rochester!
Are you passionate about making a difference in campus life? Do you want to help shape an exceptional student experience for all? The Apeiron Project is your opportunity to create meaningful change and leave a lasting impact on the University of Rochester community. This exciting new initiative has two unique components designed to empower students and recent graduates:
1. Student Life Advisory Committee
Be the voice of your peers! Current undergraduate and graduate students can join the UniversityStudent Life Advisory Committee and work directly with university leaders to address the needs and concerns of students. As a committee member, you will:
- Collaborate with senior leaders to improve campus life, including housing, dining, health services, athletics, recreation, student activities, LGBTQ+ life, religious and spiritual life, and more.
- Advocate for your fellow students and help shape policies and initiatives that enhance the student experience.
- Build leadership skills and make a tangible impact on the University of Rochester community.
2. Full-Time Post-Graduation Position
Are you a senior interested in a career in student affairs or higher education? Apply for a one-year, full-time position in the Office of the Vice President of Student Life! This unique opportunity allows you to:
- Work closely with university leadership to address key issues in student life.
- Gain hands-on experience in higher education administration.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance the student experience for future generations.
This Student Experience Specialist reports directly to the Chief of Staff to the Vice President for University Student Life. Throughout the one-year position, they will gain experience in the areas of strategic planning, data collection and analysis, marketing and communication, and student engagement / retention. They will also gain experience within each student life office and co-direct the University Student Life Advisory Committee. This position includes a robust benefits package and runs from May 15, 2026 through May 14, 2027.

How to get involved:
- For the University Student Life Advisory Committee: Open to all current undergraduate and graduate students across all schools. Complete the application by April 1, 2026. Applicants will be notified about acceptance before the end of the spring 2026 semester. The committee will begin September 2026.
